What’s the difference between regular and additional U-Save rebates?
Previously, the U-Save Rebate was part of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Voucher (GSTV) scheme. In 2023, an additional program, the Assurance Package (AP) U-Save, was introduced to offer further relief.
- Regular GSTV-U-Save: Distributed quarterly (January, April, July, October) and based on HDB flat type. For 2024, amounts range from $65 to $130 per quarter.
- AP U-Save: Disbursed in two tranches (July and January) and offers double the usual rebate amount.
How to check the status of your U Save Rebate 2024?
Here are some options to ensure you received the expected amount:
- Automatic Disbursement: The U-Save Rebate is disbursed automatically based on your eligibility and HDB records. There’s no application or registration process, and no need to actively track its status.
- Fixed Schedule: The regular GSTV-U-Save is disbursed quarterly (January, April, July, October) and the AP U-Save is disbursed in two tranches (July, and January).
- Direct Crediting: The rebates are automatically credited to your bank account or Singapore General Hospital (SGH) MediSave account linked to your HDB flat.
However, if you have concerns about your eligibility or haven’t received the expected amount, you can take the following steps:
Verify your eligibility:
- Review the eligibility criteria mentioned earlier in this article.
- Check your HDB flat type and compare it to the disbursement amounts in the table.
Look for past transactions:
- Check your bank statements or MediSave account statements for any recent deposits labelled “U-Save Rebate” or similar, considering the disbursement dates.
