AP Election 2024 Date

In 2024, India gears up for both general election and state elections. Eight state governments are set to complete their tenure this year and are all set for elections.

The Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha elections can be held in the time frame of April-May 2024 to elect 175 members of the Legislative Assembly.

The 15th AP assembly elections have a total of 175 seats, in which YSRC has announced that they will contest for the 113 seats. 

In the 2019 elections, YSRCP acquired 151 seats and TDP has 22 seats in the assembly.

Prediction of AP State Elections 2024

The current CM and leader of the YSRCP is the prominent contender for the CM candidate of AP. He has been a leader since 2011 and leads the Andhra Pradesh state. In his tenure, he has stated that he fulfilled most of the commitments he had made during the previous elections. 

The next candidate can be Chandrababu Naidu or Pawan Kalyan, it is yet to be announced who will be the candidate of TDP.

After the arrest of Naidu in 2023 for the multi-crore scam, it is hard to say who is going to be the CM candidate of the TDP. 

Naidu has accused the current government of subverting electoral practices and demanded an inquiry on the issue. His accusation can change the mood of the people and maybe they will vote for a different party.
