Classroom of the Elite has announced on its official website and social media channels that the third anime season will debut in Japan on January 3, 2024, at 22:30 JST, meaning that classes will soon resume.

“Classroom of the Elite” took five years to develop its first and second seasons, but the creators didn’t wait that long to announce that a third was on the way. Originally published as a series of light novels, “Classroom of the Elite” was written by author Shogo Kinugasa. 

These books are essentially Japan’s version of young adult fiction, usually serialized in volumes. Shortly after it started publishing in 2015, this light novel series quickly gained popularity. The anime “Classroom of the Elite” then debuted in its first season in July 2017.

Only in July 2022, after five years had passed, did a second season begin to air. In actuality, after years of radio silence over the show’s future, Season 2 was only revealed in February of 2022. Thankfully, the anime’s third season was approved concurrently with the second.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Release Date 

The episodes of Classroom of the Elite’s third season will debut weekly on Crunchyroll in January 2024. The anime was originally slated to debut in July 2023, aligning with the release dates of the previous seasons. 

However, unanticipated setbacks caused the premiere date to be shifted to January 2024. The episodes of Classroom of the Elite season 3 are also available for streaming on Muse Asia’s YouTube account once they are released, in addition to Crunchyroll.

The television series “Classroom of the Elite” is set in Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, where gifted student Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, in an attempt to climb the ranks, enrolls in the lowest-level class. 

When Kiyotaka and his pals resolve a disagreement, they stay in Class D. The emotions Maya Sato has for Kiyotaka are highlighted in the season finale. 

“Classroom of the Elite”: Season 3 takes place in a mixed-gender training camp with a group-by-group grading system. Students are appalled by the huge stakes and the regulation that says they would be expelled if they cross the border. The primary storylines are still in place.

Classroom of the Elite’s third season will feature a mix of existing and new characters, with one character undergoing a major arc. Shouya Chiba reprises his role as Kiyataka Ayanokiji, while Rina Hidaka voices Arisu Sakanagi, a significant character with over 130 anime shows since 2007.

• In season three, Kakeru Ryuuen, who has undergone incredible character development following his loss to Ayanokiji, will also be pivotal. 
• The character is once again voiced by Masaaki Mizunaka, who did so for the first two seasons. 
• The voice actor’s roles as Takuma Sakamoto in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, Poncho Panna Cotta in How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, and Rikimatsu Ariko in Golden Kamuy are arguably his most well-known roles.
• Toshiki Iwasawa (Rokusuke Kouenji), Yurika Kubo (Kikyou Kushida), Mao Ichimichi (Airi Sakura), Nao Youyama (Honami Ichinose), Ayana Taketatsu (Kei Karuizawa), and many more are among the series’ supporting cast members.
• Yoshihito Nishouji, who also directed the first two seasons, is in charge of the third season of Classroom of the Elite.
